Barnegat Lighthouse, also known as Old Barney, is a well known landmark of the Jersey Shore.  It’s is the second tallest lighthouse in the United States and the current structure was built in 1857-58.  The lighthouse is open to the public and for a nominal donation visitors can climb to the top of Old Barney to see the beautiful ocean view surrounding Long Beach Island.
