Barnegat Lighthouse, also known as Old Barney, is a well known landmark of the Jersey Shore. It’s is the second tallest lighthouse in the United States and the current structure was built in 1857-58. The lighthouse is open to the public and for a nominal donation visitors can climb to the top of Old Barney to see the beautiful ocean view surrounding Long Beach Island.
We enjoyed our time at the lighthouse. Click the following link to explore this 360 degree image of Barnegat Light. Be sure to check out our next post where we will take you inside of Old Barney to see the light tower.
