We had the opportunity to go on a trip this month to the Poconos in Pennsylvania.  When we go to the Poconos we like to visit the historic town of Jim Thorpe.  Since it was December, we were able to explore the town decorated for Olde Time Christmas.  The image pictured above is from one of the events called the Festival of Trees which was held in the Mauch Chunk Museum & Ballroom.  Each of the Christmas trees were decorated by different people, groups or businesses in the area. There were also local businesses in the Ballroom selling homemade scarfs, rare kids toys, among other interesting items.

Be sure to see the 360 virtual tour of the Festival of Trees and look for the hotspot arrows linking to more views in the Ballroom.

Formerly the sanctuary of a h-century Victorian church, the Ballroom has been meticulously restored with all its period details intact. The Ballroom is a full service facility that offers amazing cuisine from the popular and well respected local caterers or the option to bring your own.
