Unconditional Surrender is sculpture that just can’t be overlooked. Standing 25′ tall and weighing approximately 40,000 lbs this monumental sculpture on the corner of Klockner and Sloan in Hamilton, NJ inspired us not only to take this 360° panoramic image but also take a moment for a kiss ourselves. Sculpted by J. Seward Johnson in honor of World War II veterans this sculpture mirrors the scene of the sailor kissing the nurse as captured in the famous photographs by Victor Jorgensen titled, “Kissing the War Goodbye” and “V-J Day in Times Square” by Alfred Eisenstaedt.
