Comprehension – while I’m still not sure that I completely get it either there is one thing that is certain: this giant sculpted  tooth along with its two bronze spectators and a park bench evokes reactions from confusion to wonder from gasps to laughs.

This artwork by sculptor and philanthropist J. Seward Johnson is on display roadside on Sloan Ave in Hamilton, NJ. Comprehension is a marvelous example of the life-sized and bigger-than-life, humor filled sculptures of Seward Johnson, whose art has been displayed publicly around the world.
